The system has control units (60) comprising autopiloted synchronous machines (61-64) in parallel in a synchronized manner, where each machine is associated to mechanical actuators (66-69). The machines are connected in parallel on a three-phase central converter. Regulation modules supplies current to a central converter. A selecting unit selects the synchronous machines to be autopiloted. Each position sensor of a set of position sensor is placed between the respective synchronous machines and mechanical actuator. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling mechanical pieces.
