The machine (1) has a declutching mechanism allowing introduction of a material in a sheet to be folded, withdrawing the material into a folded sheet, extending along a plan (P), and lengthened along a longitudinal axis (I-I). A declutching control unit (3) is activated by a user by a part of leg of the user located above an articulation of a knee, where the control unit has a longitudinal bar (3a) that is movable from a rest anterior position towards a clutch posterior position and vice versa by movement carried out according to an antero-posterior direction.
