<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening a molecule and compound reducing the expression or activity of the c-Jun NH<SB>2</SB>terminal kinase (JNK) group of a MAP kinase. <P>SOLUTION: The method for identifying a JNK3 expression-modulating compound includes: incubating the expressing cells of the JNK3 protein in the presence of the compound; then measuring the JNK3 expression and comparing the expressed amount with that of control cells under the non existence of the compound. The method for treating disorders involving excitotoxicity such as acute seizure disorders, Alzheimer's disease, Huntington disease, Parkinson's disease and ischaemia by using the above compound (or the molecule) is also provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
