<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recycling a powder material in the manufacture of a three-dimensional shape by which the accurate recycling of the powder material can be achieved, and a powder material recycling device. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for recycling the powder material, the process to repeat the formation of a sintered layer 16 by forming a powder material 15 layer, then irradiating a specified spot of this layer with a light beam and thereby, sinter the powder of the specified spot and insert the process to cut/remove the surface part or the unnecessary part of the shape into the process to form the sintered layer 16 which takes place a plurality of times. Thus the powder material is recycled when a required three-dimensional shape is manufactured. In detail, the method comprises: the recovery/separation process to recover an unsintered powder material and cuttings generated in the cutting/removal process and separate the cuttings; a material component inspection process to inspect the material components of the recovered powder material after the separation of the cuttings; a material addition process to recycle the material by making up for a component of a shortfall material based on the inspection results and mixing the component; and a material powder supply process to supply the recycled material powder to the shape. Further, in addition to the separation of the cuttings, the lost components are inspected by material analysis and the components of the shortfall material are replenished according to the inspection results to recycle the powder material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
