A valance for concealing a headrail, the valence being usable with a light source and first and second decorative inserts having different configurations. The valence includes: a headrail attachment bracket; a first compartment for receiving the light source thereinto, the first compartment being mechanically coupled to the headrail attachment bracket and defining a window; a second compartment mechanically coupled to the first compartment with the first compartment located between the headrail attachment bracket and the second compartment; the second compartment including a second compartment housing defining a housing aperture and a removable panel removably attachable to the second compartment housing across the housing aperture in two different orientations. The first and second decorative inserts are alternatively and selectively attachable to the removable panel in a respective one of the different orientations.
