The block (1) has a groove i.e. under cut groove (9), for presenting undercut sides (9A, 9B) symmetrically with respect to a symmetry plane (P), where the block is presented in the form of a parallelepipedic shaped body or an S shaped body. The plane separates a rib (6) and the groove into two parts (P1, P2), so that the parts are placed on a side of the plane. The parts present a complementary shape. The part of the rib on another side of the plane comprises a side (8) deprived of an under cut zone with respect to the part of the groove on the latter side of the plane. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for assembling modular blocks (2) a wall element formed by an assembly of blocks.
