The invention relates to a gel (G) adapted for transmitting ultrasound waves and intended for medical, paramedical and/or veterinary activities, wherein said gel (G) for a probe (S) feedtank is discharged through at least one opening in the vicinity of the window for transmitting and/or receiving signals from the probe (S). Said gel is at least produced by combining at least one gel containing natural cellulose macromolecules (G1) and optionally a second gel which can be synthetic, and at least water. The method for making the gel (G) includes the alternating steps of kneading (B) the mixture of said composition and allowing the mixture of said composition to rest (Re). The flexible, sealed and sterile bag (1) for the ultrasound gel (G) is sealingly connected by a supply means, such as tubes or the like, to a pump (P) that is in turn sealingly connected to at least one probe. The bag (1) has a single and centred supply and dispensing opening (3). The invention also relates to the application of the gel (G) flowing through a fluid circuit of an ultrasonograph including at least the flexible sealed and sterile pouch (1) sealingly connected via the tube to the pump assembly (P) sealingly connected via the tube for supplying gel to the window for transmitting and/or receiving signals from the probe (S). |
