PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store a plurality of frame images adequately in the case that there is another photographing instruction after photographing instruction has been made. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 1 includes an instruction means 11 which generates a photographing instruction signal, an imaging device 22 which obtains the frame images over predetermined time intervals, a storage means 15 which sequentially stores the plural frame images obtained by the imaging device 22, a storage candidate deciding means 11 which regards the plural frame images obtained before and after the photographing instruction signal among the plural frame images stored in the storage means 15 as an image candidate to be stored in a recording medium 30, and a controller 11 which controls the storage candidate deciding means 11 so as to regard the plural frame images before and after the photographing instruction signal later as the storage candidate when another photographing instruction signal is generated within a predetermined length of time after the photographing instruction signal is generated.
