PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for fixing an electrode holder to a gun arm made of an aluminum alloy, capable of fixing the electrode holder having an circular cross section to the gun arm made of the aluminum alloy by making a groove without using an intermediate member and further without forming an insertion hole in the gun arm for the electrode holder, thereby reducing the whole weight of the structure and the manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: In the structure for fixing the electrode holder to the gun arm made of the aluminum alloy in a welding gun, the electrode holder 2 having an circular cross section is connected and fixed to the front end side of the gun arm 1 made of the aluminum alloy. In the structure, the groove 4 is formed at the front end side of the gun arm along the axial line, which groove is coated with plating 5 having a semi-circular shape, of which the diameter is nearly the same as that of the electrode holder, or coated with an antioxidant 5.
