PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence element that uses a polymer with superior hole injecting property, is temporally stable, achieves simplified manufacturing processes and a larger screen and has improved element performance. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescence element is characterized in that a hole transport layer and/or a hole injection layer contains a polymer produced by processing a monomer represented by general formula [1] with proton acid and subjecting it to oxidative polymerization, or subjecting the monomer represented by general formula [1] to oxidative polymerization and processing it with proton acid.
