PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a difference in midpoint potential of a resistance bridge forming a magnetoresistive element of a magnetic sensor largely varies due to effect of environment temperature and an offset is generated relative to a design value in a magnetic sensor assembly including a protective metal cover on an element surface of the magnetic sensor. SOLUTION: A part of a surface of the protective metal cover facing the magnetoresistive element is formed thin to form a recessed part. The gap between the magnetoresistive element and the protective metal cover is locally widened. Accordingly, the magnetic sensor assembly is achieved, in which the temperature distribution in the magnetoresistive element is hardly uneven and midpoint potential difference is hardly varied even when the facing state between the protective metal cover and the element surface of the magnetic sensor is varied due to effect of environmental temperature.
