PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device manufactured by the ODF (One Drop Fill) method and capable of preventing liquid crystal from leaking due to insertion of a sealing material. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device 10A is constituted by sticking pairs of opposing substrates 11, 22 mutually by the sealing material 31 formed like a closed loop in a frame region 34 around a display region 33 and sealing liquid crystal between the pair of substrates 11 and 22 by a liquid crystal dropping method. A barrier 30A in at least one row is annularly formed at a position superimposed on a position where the sealing material 31 of either of the pair of substrates 11, 22 among the pairs of substrates 11, 22 is formed, width of the barrier 30A is smaller than that of the sealing material 31, and height of the barrier 30A is smaller than distance between the pair of substrates 11 and 22.
