BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION METHOD USING STRENGTH CONNECTOR DETAIL JOINED WITH REBAR OF UPPER FLANGE CONCRETE

PURPOSE: A method for construction of a cross-shaped prestressed concrete girder bridge using a shear connection member integrated with an inside steel reinforcement of an upper flange is provided to effectively secure the horizontal joint strength and vertical bending strength of the cross-shaped prestressed concrete girders. CONSTITUTION: A method for construction of a cross-shaped prestressed concrete girder bridge using a shear connection member integrated with an inside steel reinforcement of an upper flange is as follows. Cross-shaped prestressed concrete girders are installed in a lower structure of a bridge to be adjacent to each other in the horizontal direction, wherein each cross-shaped prestressed concrete girder comprises a top protruding block(140) and a shear connection member(200). A horizontal rigid shear connector(300) is inserted to horizontal connection holes(210) of the shear connection members in order to connect the prestressed concrete girders together. Concrete is placed on the top of the prestressed concrete girders to form a deck.
