<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To individually adjust the luminosity of a plurality of light sources in a short time relating to an image reader and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A common image reading area is illuminated with a plurality of light sources 321 and 322, and a plurality of reflection plates 361 and 362, in which contribution rates of reflection light with respect to illumination light from the plurality of light sources are different from each other, are included. A shading curve, for each light source in an initial state, and the quantity of reflection light, for each of the plurality of reflection plates in the initial state, are stored, and the quantity of reflection light for each of the plurality of reflection plates is measured in an aging state to calculate a change in luminosity for each light source, thereby the luminosity for each light source is adjusted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
