<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an electrical accumulation unit that has a long holding time and can be reduced in size by effectively using the power accumulated in a capacitor, and also to provide a power supply device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: DC voltage supplied from an input/output terminal is boosted by a boost DC-DC converter and then a capacitor is charged by the boosted DC voltage. When the voltage in the input/output terminal declines, the output voltage of the capacitor is converted into a predetermined voltage by a boost and buck-boost DC-DC converter and then the converted voltage is output to the input/output terminal. More power can be accumulated in the capacitor by increasing the charging voltage of the capacitor, and the power accumulated in the capacitor can be effectively used since the output voltage of the capacitor is boosted by the boost and buck-boost DC-DC converter when it declines.
