<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torsion bar mounting structure reliably receiving the fixed end of the torsion bar at two positions to prevent occurrence of an abnormal noise without making a small gap between the torsion bar and a vehicle side member for fixedly attaching the fixed end of the torsion bar. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the torsion bar 5 mounting structure, the torsion bar 5 is disposed between a hinge arm for openably/closably attaching a trunk lid (opening/closing member) to the vehicle body and the vehicle body. The fixed end 5A is locked to a hinge bracket (vehicle body side member), and the movable end is attached to a hinge arm to bias the trunk lid in the opening direction. The fixed end 5A of the torsion bar 5 is locked to the hinge bracket at two attaching positions (K3, K4), and the free end of the torsion bar 5 is inclined relative to the other portion so that the locking point K3 on the free end side of the torsion bar 5 is closer to the hinge bracket than the other side locking point K4 in the unloaded state.
