<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus and a power control method for attaining synchronization of power state between controllers, using simple configurations. <P>SOLUTION: In the information processing apparatus equipped with a first controller and a second controller for attaining one or more functions, the first controller and the second controller are respectively provided with a connection means for connecting the self-controller to the other controller; a power-state changing means for changing power to be supplied to the self-controller; a power state notification means for changing the communication state of the connection means provided to the self-controller, according to the power state changed by the power state changing means; and a power-state detection means for detecting the communication state of the connection means provided to the other controller, and for instructing the power state changing means to change the power state to the power state, corresponding to the communication state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
