The vibrator (1) has an electrically driven drive (2) i.e. shaft driving electric motor, for inducing a motion in a section (4) of the vibrator. A control device (5) variably controls the drive. The device includes a pulse-meter connection (7) for applying a pulse signal from a pulse-meter (6), where the pulse-meter connection is formed as wireless interface for receiving the pulse signal from the pulse-meter by a radio signal. The device includes a program for variable driving of the drive, where a variable movement depends on the pulse signal and a time characteristic of the pulse signal.
