PURPOSE: A method for inputting Korean alphabet using a camera and a device inputting Korean alphabet using the same are provided to intuitively input characteristic by a cellular phone, thereby increasing the availability about extra camera. CONSTITUTION: A recognition unit recognizes movement of a recognition target through sequential changes of luminance(210,210A,210B,210C). A consonant recognition unit recognizes a - stoke according to the movement of a width. The recognized stroke is transmitted to an output unit. When a finger moves right(200C) to left(200A) on a character recognition block, the change of brightness information on a character recognition block generates form right by crossing the center to the left.
