PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reception from a parent station from being delayed while saving electric power of a wireless communication device to which a power-saving mode is applied. SOLUTION: The wireless communication device (20) to which the power saving mode of a wireless LAN is applied stores an information table with three or more levels wherein an interval of receiving a beacon signal from the parent station (30) by switching from a doze state to an awake state is predefined, updates a current listen interval into a shorter reception interval based upon the information table in response to a data transmission to the parent device (t2, t6), and periodically increases the updated current listen interval in accordance with the levels of the information table (t2-t6).
