<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wide coverage radar apparatus capable of detecting an object at extremely short-range by reducing interference due to a direct wave reflected by a radome. <P>SOLUTION: The wide coverage radar apparatus 100 includes a substrate 101, and a transmission antenna 110, and a reception antenna 120 formed on the substrate 101. The substrate 101, the transmission antenna 110, and the reception antenna 120 are entirely covered by the radome 130. The wide coverage radar apparatus 100 further includes an absorbing body 140 between the transmission antenna 110 and the reception antenna 120. The absorbing body 140 is provided in order that a high-frequency signal emitted from the transmission antenna 110, reflected by the inner surface of an upper lid 131 of the radome 130, and repeating the reflection between the substrate 101 and the upper lid 131 is prevented from sneaking into the reception antenna 120. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
