<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently drive an exhaust turbosupercharger by a simple method. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust turbosupercharger 50 is disposed downstream of a collecting part 31c with downstream sides of more than three independent branch passages 16a-16d collected. A variable throttle valve 30 is disposed upstream of the collecting part 31c. The independent branch pipes between cylinders with the overlap period of intake/exhaust valves in an intake stroke and the valve opening period of an exhaust valve in an exhaust stroke overlapped with each other communicate with each other through a communication passage 41 when the opening of the variable throttle valve 30 is a predetermined opening or more. When the opening of the variable throttle valve 30 is less than the predetermined opening, the communication passage 41 is disconnected. When a value related to an oxygen concentration in the exhaust passage is less than a predetermined value, the variable throttle valve 30 is closed to disconnect the communication passage 41; meanwhile, when the detected value related to the oxygen concentration in the exhaust passage is the predetermined value or more, the opening of the variable throttle valve 30 is set to the predetermined opening or more (post combustion is performed). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
