摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method that simplifies measurement of a fastening force of fuel cell units in a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell 10 holds fuel cell units 40 laminated between a pair of opposing end plates 10a, and a fastening shaft 100 is arranged at each corner of the fuel cell units 40. The fastening shaft 100 is formed with a through hole 12 in the end plate 10a overlapped by a female screw hole at the tip of the shaft, and a bolt 102 is inserted into the through hole 12 from the outside of the end plate 10a to be screwed and fastened by the female screw hole of the fastening shaft 100, thereby applying the fastening force to the fuel cell units 40 in the laminating direction. The bolt 102 is attached with an ultrasonic probe 110 at the top surface of the bolt which emits an ultrasonic beam in the longitudinal direction of the bolt 102 and receives the ultrasonic beam reflected by an end facet of the bolt tip. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
