PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device capable of performing inspection, while absorbing the influence a case, even for the case where an inspection object is a curvature structure, and a projecting part, or the like, exists on the surface. SOLUTION: A pair of running parts 16, 18 are rockably connected to a support part 14 for supporting an inspection part 12 via connection parts 20, 22. The running parts 16, 18 do not have a mechanism for directly connecting each other, and thereby can turn independently and freely relative to axis extending in the front-to-back direction, and can properly change the attitude, corresponding to a surface shape of the inspection object such as a pipe, and further, the running parts, do not have a synchronizing mechanism, and thereby can constitute a light-weight, small-sized and simple driving part. The position of drop-preventing mechanisms 50a, 50b to be mounted on the side of arms 26, 38 can be adjusted. The turning motion in the upper direction of each arm is restricted in its adjustment range; and since a large departure of the running parts 16, 18 from the inspection object can be restricted, dropping of the inspection device 10 is prevented.
