The mandrel (1) has two connected segments (2), where the mandrel is transferable between linear and geometrical-form-stable conditions and a form-variable condition. The segments stay in contact and are arranged along a straight line and a curved line in the geometrical and linear-form-stable conditions, respectively. The segments are spaced from each other and movable against each other in the variable condition. The segments are connected by a propeller shaft (3), where the mandrel is transferable between the form-stable conditions by supplying torque to the shaft. An independent claim is also included for a method for production of molding hoses.
