The cover (1) has a guiding unit for guiding a covering panel (3) that is slidably moved between a closed position covering a compartment of a vehicle and a raised position releasing access to the compartment on the vehicle. The guiding unit is located on the vehicle such that the covering panel is passed from the closed position to the raised position by sliding towards a rear portion of the compartment. The guiding unit comprises a slide (9) and another slide. The covering panel comprises a pad (19) that is cooperated with the slides.
