PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lockup damper device for a torque converter capable of securing a certain twist angle and absorbing a large impact torque. SOLUTION: In this lockup damper device 4, a plurality of damper springs 8a, 8a, ..., and other ones 8b, 8b, ..., are arranged on the outside and the inside having different diameters to cause compressive deformation in compliance with the relative twist angle of the input-side member and the output-side member, wherein two damper springs as one set each are coupled in series, and a separator 9 formed at an intermediate member 16 pivoted rotatably is interposed between them.
