<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which readily and surely retrieves a specified object from an image of circumference by means of image processing in portable information retrieval equipment. <P>SOLUTION: A retrieval result acquiring means 60 retrieves an object, on the basis of accepted retrieval conditions from the information for retrieval stored in an information storage means 30 for acquiring the information for collating the object. An image reception means 65 receives a subject image, from a terminal 1, in which a retrieval subject range is photographed. A matching means 70 detects a portion that matches the information for checking from the received subject information.
