PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breather mechanism of an in-wheel motor capable of preventing or suppressing breather blowing. SOLUTION: The breather mechanism of the in-wheel motor 1 includes a braking mechanism provided at a side of an outer periphery of a housing 6 for storing an electric motor generating a drive force for traveling a vehicle Ve to impart a braking force to the vehicle Ve, and a breather pipe 8 making the inside of the housing 6 communicate with the outside to balance pressure in the housing 6 with external pressure. An opening end 9 of the breather pipe 8 is arranged at an opposite side of the braking mechanism across the housing 6. By this, discharged lubricating oil etc. hardly adheres to the braking mechanism even if breather blowing is generated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
