<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition having a high solubility in water and having hue and clarity suitable for inkjet recording. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition includes as colorants both of at least one colorant represented by formula (1) or a salt thereof and a predetermined tetrazo compound or a salt thereof.
