<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biocompatible material for substituting a bone and a product thereof with the biocompatibility added and transparency of the surface controlled by forming titanium coating. <P>SOLUTION: The biocompatible compact for substituting a bone has the biocompatibility added to the surface of a core material by forming the titanium coating with a prescribed thickness, and the transparency of the surface is controlled. The biocompatible compact and an implant are characterized by (1) the surface layer coated with titanium; (2) the transparency or translucency of the titanium coating to at least part of the visible light, ultraviolet light, infrared rays, X rays, ultrasonic waves, low frequency, high frequency, radiation and electromagnetic waves; (3) the core material made of plastics or ceramics; and (4) the surface of the titanium coating having cells and biocompatible effects. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
