PURPOSE: A method and a system for obtaining a facility operating time are provided to automatically obtain an operating time of a manufacturing facility in real time by using the state of a facility operating state displaying lamp. CONSTITUTION: A facility operating time obtaining system includes a facility operating time obtaining device(205). The facility operating time obtaining device includes an optical sensor(230,235,240), a signal input unit, a controller and a communication unit. The optical sensor is installed on a color lamp(215,220,225) and recognizes the lighting or blink state of the color lamp. A signal input unit receives the signal of the optical sensor. The controller determines the operation state of the manufacturing facility. The controller transmits the operation state to an upper computer and a server system. A communication unit transmits time data according to the operation state of the manufacturing facility to the upper computer and the server system.
