PURPOSE: A digital image processing apparatus and a control method obtaining a clear image without shake are provided to correct the image without shake according to a hand shake pattern of each user. CONSTITUTION: A hand shake sensing unit(110) measures the vibration of a hand pattern of a photographer. An image stabilization frequency controller(120) searches a mean frequency in the hand shake pattern signal. The controller sets up the predetermined frequency bandwidth including the searched center frequency. The controller sets up the mean frequency for correcting the hand shake in the frequency bandwidth. A correcting unit(130) compensates the hand shake correction of the photographer based on the fixed mean frequency.
