<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary the update period of a random number related to a lottery in a hard-to-predict manner, so that even if operating a start switch of a game machine at a fixed timing, prevent it from getting advantageous. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This game machine includes: a rotary reel; a stop switch for stopping the rotation of the rotary reel; a reel driving part for driving the rotary reel; and a reel position detecting part for detecting the rotating position of the rotary reel. The high order bit and a low order bit of output of a random number generator are replaced in a predetermined chance. Thus, a random number is irregular so that it is hard to predict.
