PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating value calculation device accurately calculating a gross heating value of fuel generating heat until a crank reaches a specific crank angle even when cylinder pressure includes an offset error. SOLUTION: Crank angles are sequentially acquired by a crank angle sensor at S121. For each of the crank angles, a cylinder pressure is acquired by a cylinder pressure sensor at S123 and a capacity of a cylinder is acquired at S127. A heat generation rate per unit angle of a crank angle is calculated based on the cylinder pressure and the capacity at S129. Representing the specific crank angle before a top dead center as (-B), the heat generation rate is integrated in sections [-B, B] centered on the top dead center TDC and equal to each other on an advance side and a retard side at S133.
