PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device with a configuration applicable even to a small oil burning boiler, and improving load followability by equipping a pilot burner. SOLUTION: In the combustion device 2 of a boiler 1, the pilot burner has a two fluid spray nozzle in a combustion device 10 of the oil burning boiler 1 equipped with a main burner and the pilot burner, and it is equipped with a pilot liquid fuel supply part (a fuel pump 3, a third solenoid valve 8, and a liquid fuel supply pipe) supplying liquid fuel to the two fluid spray nozzle, a pilot compressed gas supply part (a fourth solenoid valve 9 and a steam supply pipe) supplying compressed gas to the two fluid spray nozzle, and a controller 5 controlling the pilot liquid fuel supply part and the pilot compressed gas supply part.
