<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque sensor that is miniaturized, and the manufacturing cost of which is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The torque sensor includes: a connecting shaft which connects a first shaft and a second shaft; a permanent magnet which is fixed to the first shaft and ring-shaped and of which the first and second surfaces are magnetized; a plurality of magnetic materials which are fixed to the second shaft and arranged in a magnetic field of the first surface of the permanent magnet; an auxiliary magnetic material which forms a magnetic circuit with the permanent magnet and the magnetic materials; a first magnetic detector which detects a magnetic flux induced by the auxiliary magnetic material; a torque detection unit which detects torque acting on the first or second shaft, based on a detection output of the first magnetic detector; a second magnetic detector which is arranged opposite to the second surface and detects magnetism generated from the outer peripheral surface of the permanent magnet; and a shaft position detection unit which detects at least one of the rotation angle and the rotational speed of the first shaft, based on the magnetism detected by the second magnetic detector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
