<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup apparatus which is made thin, and to provide an optical disk apparatus using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup apparatus is constituted so that a collimator lens 5 which is freely movable in an optical direction toward the objective lens 2 from the light source 1 side, and a starting prism 7 are arranged between a light source 1 and an objective lens 2, and the starting prism 7 emits incident light in a first predetermined direction by beam shaping expansion, and a beam shaping prism 6 for emitting an incident light in a second predetermined direction orthogonal to the first predetermined direction by beam shaping expansion is arranged between the starting prism 7 and the collimator lens 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
