<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding machine of a rotary press capable of preventing the occurrence of folding up to a further complete level, by paying attention to a folding occurrence mechanism. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This folding machine 1 has opposed top side folding roller 21 and bottom side folding roller 22, a plurality of substantially oppositely arranged top side guide 31 and bottom side guide 32, a folding preventive guide 6 and a rotary guide member 7. The rotary guide member 7 is rotatably arranged by a position adjusting means 8 on the outside of an area sandwiched by a virtual plane 51 and a virtual plane 52, and guides a newspaper 10 by abutting on the newspaper 10 separated from a folding cylinder 41.
