<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting system for enabling a newly cooperating electronic device to easily use setting used by an electronic device which has provided a function in cooperation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The setting system has a first electronic device having a first function and a second electronic device having a second function different from the first function. The first electronic device preserves setting used by an electronic device which has the second function different from the second electronic device to provide a third function obtained by linking the first function and the second function in cooperation with the first electronic device, and the second electronic device provides the third function in cooperation with the first electronic device by using the setting stored by the first electronic device. By the configuration, the setting used for the provision of the third function by the electronic device which has provided the third function in cooperation with the first electronic device is taken over, and the second electronic device newly cooperating with the first electronic device provides the third function.
