<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of operability, and to reduce power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: An operating part of an input device 31 is gripped by a user in order to remotely operate a television receiver 10 and operated in a three-dimensional free space. When the operating part is placed, a first command is transmitted for bringing display of a graphical user interface on the television receiver 10 into a non-use state and when a GUI start button of the operating part is operated, a second command is transmitted for bringing the display of the graphical user interface on the television receiver 10 into a use state. When the operating part is placed, a low power consumption state is set. When the first command is received, the television receiver 10 brings the display of the graphical user interface into the non-use state and when the second command is received, the television receiver brings the display of the graphical user interface into the use state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
