PURPOSE: A separator for planar solid oxide fuel cells is provided to increase physical contact between an cathode and the separator and to improve a function of collecting electricity by increasing electrical connection. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a separator for planar solid oxide fuel cells comprises the following steps: forming a protective coating layer(9b) of (Mn,Co)_3O-4 oxides on the surface of a metal separator(5) for a planar solid oxide fuel cell; inserting a contact member which is composed of cobalt and cobalt alloy between the protective coating layer and an cathode(4); thermally treating the protective coating layer at reductive atmosphere; and forming a bond reactive layer(9c) between the protective coating layer and the contact member. |
