<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination apparatus, illumination system and illumination method for adjusting luminance intensity naturally so as not to give uncomfortable feeling to a customer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The illumination apparatus 2 adjusts luminance intensity by working together with other illumination apparatus 2 having a detection portion 25 for detecting presence of an object in a detection area as at least a portion of an illumination region. The illumination apparatus 2 includes an ID storage portion 22 for storing an illumination ID of the other illumination apparatus 2 affected by luminance intensity improvement of the illumination apparatus, an illumination ID acquiring portion 23 for acquiring the illumination ID of the other illumination apparatus 2 which detects the object, and a luminance intensity adjusting portion 26 for increasing luminance intensity when the acquired illumination ID exists in the ID storage portion 22.
