<p>Provided is an antenna having an increased bandwidth and desired directivity and polarization characteristics. The antenna is composed of an antenna element (111) which is composed of a conductive body having a semispherical shape formed by cutting a sphere in the vertical direction; a fan-shaped conductive body (112) having a shape formed by cutting a disc; and a rod (113) which is suspended from an inserting port at an apex angle of the fan-shaped conductive body (112) with an insulator therebetween, has an antenna element (111) connected thereto, holds the antenna element (111) by spacing the antenna element from the fan-shaped conductor (112) and composed of a conductive body. It is considered important that the antenna has a shape that gradually opens to the atmosphere from a power feed section for generating radiation over a wide band. Thus, as a method for permitting the antenna to have directivity, both the antenna element and a ground plate are cut in fan shapes, respectively.</p> |
