摘要 A wireless communication system which performs stable wireless communication suitably according to increasing/decreasing fading and makes effective use of frequency resources by switching, when the effects of fading are low, from frequency diversity to a scheme that allocates input as independent signal sequences.  The wireless communication system selects and performs quadruple diversity configured from space diversity using two antennas not correlated with each other and frequency diversity using two waves of frequencies (f1, f2), or dual diversity configured from only space diversity.  A matched filter (211) judges that the effects of fading are low when all the tap information from the adaptive matched filters (207 to 210) indicate values that are at a threshold or higher, changes the changeover switches (104, 215) so that the system operates only by space diversity, and transmits and receives two independent transmission data modulated each by a modulator (102, 103).
