<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the security of a host device by restricting the location where the host device is available. <P>SOLUTION: CDID of device systems 60 and 160 and a distance region are stored in association with each other as a correspondence relation table 35 in a flash ROM 23. When the power source of a user PC 20 is turned on, a CPU 21 executes a start program 31, connects to a connectable device system, specifies the CDID of the connected device system, reads the distance region corresponding to the specified CDID from a correspondence relation table, and determines whether or not the distance to the device system is included in the read distance region. Then, an OS 41 is not started until positive determination is made for all the device systems included in the correspondence relation table 35 so that the user PC 20 is disabled, and when the positive determination is made, the OS 41 is started so that the user PC 20 is enabled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
