<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: heat is generated when an optical deflector provided in an optical scanner is driven, the incident position of laser beam which is deflected and reflected on a polygon mirror is shifted due to the heat, a scanning may be failed on the surface of a photoreceptor due to the shift of the optical path of the laser beam, as a result a high quality image is not formed. <P>SOLUTION: The optical scanner includes at least: a light source; the optical deflector; an optical scanning system; and a housing which holds these components. The optical scanner further includes a heat conducting member which is made of a material having a higher heat conductivity than that of the material composing the housing, the whole or a portion of the scanning optical system is connected to the optical deflector by the heat conducting member, thus a scanning is performed without giving any influence on the surface of the photoreceptor even when the optical path of the laser beam leading to the scanning optical system disposed downstream of the optical deflector is varied due to the influence of the heat generated in the optical deflector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
