PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing aldehyde is provided to control the selectivity for n-aldehyde or iso-aldehyde which is a product and to maintain high activity of a catalyst which is used for a liquid circulation hydroformylation process of an olefin-based compound. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing aldehyde includes a step of obtaining the aldehyde by reacting an olefin-based compound and synthetic gas(CO/H_2) under the presence of a catalyst composition including a triphenylphosphine ligan, a mono-coordinated phosphine ligand, and a transition metal catalyst. In the step, the gas phase partial pressure of carbon monoxide is 0.5-3.0 mol% of the total pressure of the reaction. The content of the total ligand is 80-150 mol equivalent based on 1 mol of core metal of the transition metal catalyst.
