Fuel can be injected via a first injection channel (20) directly into a combustion chamber (12) and via a second injection channel (24) into the combustion chamber's inlet (14) and/or outlet channel. Both injection channels maintain a link to a high-pressure fuel system so that fuel is pressed through each injection channel. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating/running an internal combustion engine.
