PRODUCTION METHOD FOR FOAMING THERMOPLASTIC RESIN PARTICLE, FOAMED THERMOPLASTIC RESIN PARTICLE, AND FOAMED THERMOPLASTIC RESIN MOLDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of continuously producing foaming thermoplastic resin particles in uniform small particle size in the production of foaming thermoplastic resin particles by an underwater hot-cut method.

SOLUTION: The production method for foamed thermoplastic resin particles comprises: the step to feed the thermoplastic resin to a resin feeder 2 and carry out melt-kneading, wherein the resin feeder 2 is equipped with a granulation die 1 having at least a die body with a resin discharge surface; the step to form a blowing agent impregnated resin by impregnating the blowing agent into the thermoplastic resin while transferring the thermoplastic resin toward the granulation die; the step to obtain the foaming thermoplastic resin particles by cutting the blowing agent impregnated resin discharged from a nozzle in a cooling medium with a cutter 3, wherein the nozzle is opened in the resin discharge surface of die body: provided that the foaming thermoplastic resin particles are obtained while controlling temperature of the die body within the range 115-200°C higher than the molten resin temperature of blowing agent impregnated resin.
